There is no better way to learn about a college than to visit the campus.  As you make your plans to visit schools, remember to:

  • Contact the admissions office (by phone or online) for information about college visits.  Some schools require you to register for the tours and info sessions.
  • Make a list of questions to ask.
  • Attend the information session and take the guided tour.
  • Take pictures of the campus.
  • Talk to students.
  • Check out the surrounding community.
  • If possible, try to attend a class, meet with an admissions representative, or even stay overnight in a dorm.
  • Record your impressions of the school once your visit is over.
